Travel Partners

“I have found out that there ain’t no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.” - Mark Twain

I couldn’t have put it more eloquently than the man who wrote “Tom Sawyer” and “Huckleberry Finn” because if you have traveled with different people, I am sure you have experienced both extreme feelings. A good travel partner is so important to have because there are so many factors that go into getting along on the road. I have seen it happen time and time again so just remember that before you jump into an opportunity to go away for a while with a friend(s) or whoever, make sure you can stand them being there constantly for as long as your trip lasts because otherwise your trip could turn into a nightmare.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and enjoy the great food, family and football today. However, if you’re from England, I understand you won’t be enjoying football anytime soon, at least at next summer’s European Championships…ouch, but Happy Thanksgiving anyway!

The Alhambra

The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex in southern Spain, occupying a hilly terrace on the southeastern border of the city of Granada. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and was a nominee as one of the new seven wonders of the world, albeit that was a bit of a stretch. The palace was the residence of the Muslim kings of Granada and their court, but is currently a museum exhibiting exquisitely well kept Islamic architecture. Any trip to Southern Spain could not be complete without visiting this stunning peaceful oasis.

Death in Maputo, Mozambique

November 20th, 2007 | Username By Lee | Comments 5 Comments »

We arrived in Maputo, Mozambique with no expectations. We decided to visit Mozambique on a whim because Mike and I were in nearby Nelspruit, South Africa after a four-day safari in Kruger Park. It was so close that we couldn’t pass up the opportunity which would turn into something we’d never forget.

Federer and Brady

November 19th, 2007 | Username By Lee | Comments 5 Comments »

What a pleasure it is to watch these two guys playing at the top of their respective games. Roger Federer, the worlds number one tennis player capped off his fourth consecutive season as the top ranked played in the world by winning his fourth Masters Cup final in five years Sunday in Shanghai, and he did so overwhelmingly by crushing his opponents. Meanwhile, Quarterback Tom Brady led the undefeated and unparalleled New England Patriots to a 10-0 record and to 56 points on 5 touchdown passes last night in their victory in American footballs NFL. These two athletes are shaping up to be the best to ever play their respective sports and it is just fun to watch. Much like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and dare I say Barry Bonds; Federer and Brady have no equals in their sports.
