Happy holidays everyone and thanks as always for your emails and comments. I just got back from a Caribbean trip where I racked up 10 new countries from Curacao to the Bahamas and I am leaving tomorrow for a 16 country (14 new) West African tour starting in Nouakchott, Mauritania and ending in Lagos, Nigeria. I will be blogging it as often as possible. However, it is Africa and in fact West Africa so the connection speed may be awful if it’s even available at all. So please do check back with me over the next month or so. Again, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Kwanza or whatever and as I am sitting here in New York City in the cold for the holiday after being in Florida and the Caribbean for the past few weeks-I can plainly say that the cold weather sucks and I would rather be at the beach.

Lee, looking forward to your blogs, especially info on traveling between the countries, some of which don’t have the best transportation options.

I’m now in Manila, flying to Davao, the southern tip of the Philippines in two hours.

    Have a great trip.
