Satellite Media Tour for Guinness Storehouse

I recently did a satellite media tour (SMT) for Guinness Storehouse and a few other products. If you’re not familiar with satellite media tours they are basically short live infomercials across 25-30 local network affiliates all around the country. They also include several radio interviews as well. It is a long and exhausting day where you basically do the exact same interview, with the same script 30 times in one day. However, it is also a lot of fun if you have good people and a good product.

I was recently at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, Ireland when I visited for Arthur’s Day last year and know it’s a cool place and I could speak from experience. That said, I had a great partner, the Style Director at OK! Magazine, who handled the luggage and beauty products on the SMT; which I had never used-obviously!

Satellite media tours are a lot of fun and I have done a few. This video is the first one I have actually seen so I thought I would share it-even though I am pretty sure this was our first take before we really had the script down but it still came out pretty good. The best part about satellite media tours, or at least this one is I came across shows that I have previously been on without knowing it as you don’t find out who you’re talking to until a minute or so beforehand! I actually am just adding this now as I just found this from FOX 5 in Las Vegas!

It was a great time and I look forward to doing another soon!
