I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and the awesome Masters tournament (if you like golf). Where is this unreal and unspoiled white sand beach that has essentially been untouched for decades. Please comment your guesses and I will post the correct answer later in the day. Good luck! It is on Midway Island. The former US WWII military installation and current nature reserve is rarely visited by anyone except for the national park service. I was very lucky to have been able to get there and I hope to do the same thing in December to Wake Island.

Once a great city and today there’s not much but you can still imagine what it must’ve been like. Plus the views and setting of the Mediterranean are perfect.

Ashgabat is a brand spanking new mostly white capital city where you can’t take pictures of many things and need an escort/guide to go pretty much anywhere including to restaurants!

The correct answer is Palau. Good job Ryan and Beth and all those who emailed me. Beth thanks for the great restaurant recommendation in Denver-the short rib was unreal. The Rock Islands of Palau are one of the most gorgeous places in the world to just cruise around and home to the famous jellyfish lake.

Easily the best (and only) tourist attraction in Benin and a nice way to spend an afternoon exploring by dugout canoe before heading to neighboring Togo or Nigeria.

In honor of my friend Baumer, who specially requested it, I am bringing back the “Where am I” pictures of the day. It is Anse Source d’Argent on La Digue Island in the Seychelles…quite possibly the nicest islands in the world and certainly one of the world’s great and most picturesque beaches. Good job, next time it will be harder!
